Dr. Ryan Magargle currently serves as lead application engineer with ANSYS, Inc. based in Austin, Texas, USA.  He has expertise in a variety of electromechanical applications including electric machines, sensors, power electronics, transformers, MEMS, circuits and cables. 

He has provided support, consulting, and training services for transportation, power, utility, space, defense, consumer product, and oil and gas industries. 

He obtained his PhD in 2006, studying electrical and computer engineering at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, where his dissertation involved the development of methods and models for the robust design of microfluidic lab-on-a-chip systems with the support of the Lamme Westinghouse Fellowship.
