Claude Gobenceaux
Graduated from the École Supérieure des Sciences Économiques et Commerciales
of Paris (76), Claude spent most of his professional life in the automotive industry
working first for the PSA Peugeot Citroën Holding in various Finance positions group
from 1977; for the Automobiles Peugeot Group as Controller of the Spanish Car
Manufacturing Plant in 1985, Director of a French Plant in 1989, Director of the
Group Organization in 1992; for Automobiles Citroën as Director of the “Replacement
Parts, After Sales and Quality of Services Division” in 1995, General Director of the
British Distribution Subsidiary in 1997 and Director of the Latin America Division in
1999. In 2002, he was appointed as the General Manager of the Peugeot Network of
a main Car Dealer Group in France.
Claude entered the SAFRAN Group on February 2007 when he was appointed as
the Americas General Manager of Messier-Bugatti-Dowty / MRO Division. Since the
beginning of 2014 he is also “Chef d’Etablissement” of the two Querétaro Messier-
Bugatti-Dowty plants (Landing Gear Manufacturing and Landing Gear MRO).
Claude has also been a founding and active member of the Mexican Aerospace
Industry Federation (FEMIA) where he chairs the Competitiveness Commission. He
is the first and current President of Aero Cluster of Querétaro and Member of the
External Control Council of CIDETEQ and CIDESI, both being public Mexican
Research and Development Centres. He is also member of the Board of Directors of
the CIDESI and member of the Consultative Council of the Mexican Space Agency
(AEM).
